YSR Housing Scheme : Documents Required

The YSR Housing Scheme for 2023 has been announced by the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh. This scheme aims to provide affordable housing to the citizens of the state. YSR Housing Scheme Overview

In its initial phase, the Andhra Pradesh government acquired 68.361 acres of land valued at Rs 23,535 crores. With an expenditure of Rs 28,800 crores, the government constructed a total of 16 lakh houses at a cost of Rs 1.8 lakh per house. This marked the beginning of the YSR Housing Scheme.

The second phase of the scheme commenced on December 25, 2020, with a goal to build approximately 28.30 lakh houses within three years. Out of these, 30,75,755 houses will be allocated to female beneficiaries across the state. Furthermore, construction of 15,60,000 houses started on December 25, 2020, as part of this phase.

Facilities Available Under YSR Housing Scheme

Beneficiaries of the scheme will receive various amenities, including two tube lights, four bulbs, an overhead water storage tank, two fans, and 20 tonnes of sand for each housing unit. Additionally, these housing colonies will boast excellent infrastructure facilities, including the establishment of Anganwadi centers, libraries, parks, schools, markets, and more.

How to Apply for the YSR Housing Scheme

To avail the benefits of the YSR Housing Scheme, interested individuals can apply at their nearest village or ward secretariat. Once the application is submitted, beneficiaries can expect to receive the scheme’s benefits within 90 days.
